Does the Siren platform require all data to be loaded in Elasticsearch?

No. The Siren platform supports external data sources such as JDBC connections and generic REST sources.
The Siren platform can query these sources in real time during user navigation to create special filters or special “external query” aggregators, for example to use in visualizations.
Typically, you should load the data where you intend to perform search and complex analytics. However, you do not need to materialize or import auxiliary data that is used only for visualizations or to create filters.
